Her long history of service includes working as a parent liaison for the School of Education at Michigan State University, serving as Regional Vice President for the Michigan PTA, and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America.

Outside of her service, Cindy loves camping, exploring the outdoors, kayaking, and spending time with her family—activities that keep her grounded and remind her why strong schools and strong communities matter.
